How To Refer

You can refer your patient using following methods:

• E-referrals
• Medical object
• Fax
• Printable referral template
• Best practice e-referral
Please indicate in the referral if you would prefer your patient to have open access procedures provided, they fit the following criteria;

Suitability for open access endoscopy:

• Age 18-75
• BMI <40 Kg/m 2
• Not on antiplatelets/ Anticoagulants (except aspirin)
• No chronic heart condition (Unstable IHD, CCF, PPM/ Defibrillator etc)
• No COPD / Emphysaema
• No obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA)

NB: If all boxes are not ticked, then patient is most likely to be seen as a consult prior to procedures
